Hi Daisy, see step 3: “Remove cookie dough from the refrigerator and allow to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats. Set aside.” We’re glad you enjoyed them!

Hi Dorothy, in the case of the marshmallow surprise hot cocoa cookies, the marshmallow is fully enclosed in chocolate, which helps keep it fresh. If you fully enclosed the marshmallow here, they should be okay to freeze.

But I’m curious why these can’t be frozen once assembled because your marshmallow-surprise hot cocoa cookies can be. Different cookie base but both are topped with marshmallows then the covered with the chocolate. Thanks

Hi Laurie, here are all of our tips to prevent cookies from spreading. The cookies can certainly get browner with the broiler, especially if left in for a bit too long. Moving the cookies down a rack (away from the broiler) should help.

Not sure what happened but cookies spread. I use a scale so measurements exact. I chilled for a day. Let airport for short bit before rolling balls. They also got browner with the broiler part. I did eat one prior to putting chocolate on top and very tasty. I did change my rack in oven up one since needed to broil. Maybe that was issue?? I have electric oven and rarely broil as just don’t like to like when I had a gas oven.
